Dutch coach Eric Den Haag has called on Fulham to apologize for mocking Manchester United's captain and midfielder Portuguese Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United manager Den Haag has launched his attack after criticism of the captain's injury following his side's FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest yesterday, British news agency (PA Media) reported.

Ahead of next Sunday's match against Manchester City, Den Haag was asked about a Fulham FC post on the TikTok site which showed Fernandez collapsed on the pitch during the two teams' match last Saturday in the English Premier League championship, saying: “We're glad he's OK.”

The Dutch coach said: “I don't know that, but if they did, I would say it's not true, of course, for a club to make a statement like that is absolutely not true, they're wrong and they should apologise.

Den Haag expressed his belief that Nottingham Forest players have targeted Fernandez in their interventions, adding: “He's a great footballer and he creates a lot of chances. He's the one who creates the most chances in the English Premier League.”

He concluded: “You see how the competitors target him, especially after the match last Saturday when he got injured, they saw that. I felt the referee should have protected him. They had to change at the start of the match because it was clear they were targeting him. .
