When it comes to travel, we believe people are interested in more than just the latest gear and reviews of ludicrously expensive resorts. We know that not every female is in search of the world's perfect facial. And that people without trust funds travel too.

Lamenting Lost Luggage? Online websites display lost goods, panties and all.

If you’ve ever checked a bag at the airport and landed at your destination only to find out that your luggage is “lost”, sometimes never to return, there may be a few places online that you haven’t checked.

The one time my luggage was never to be returned, was the one time I had some of my Great Grandmother’s treasured possessions, vintage jewelry, etc. When I came across the website Is This Your Luggage, I didn’t find my Grandmother’s jewels, but I was surprised at what I found from other “lost” bags.

Isthisyourluggage.com displays a series of suitcases that have been lost by travelers, including the content in them. Coming across a web page with photographs of your panties may make you think twice about checking your bags, that’s for sure. When airlines can’t identify lost or left behind luggage, they auction it off with the profit going to charity. The creator of Is This Your Luggage, just so happens to have a quirky passion for collecting and photographing these bags with the sincere desire to get them back to their owner. Have you lost a bag? Maybe you’ll find it here.

After finding this site I was intrigued and came across similar sites (still none of my Granny’s goods, bummer) like Unclaimed Baggage which is an entire store in Scottsboro, Alabama dedicated to people’s lost treasures. Among some of the found lost treasures; Egyptian artifacts dating back to 1500 B.C., a shrunken head, a 40.95 natural emerald, a guidance system for an F16 fighter jet, and the list continues…. losing your yoga pants and running shoes doesn’t feel as bad as losing millions of dollars in artifacts now does it??

So if you’re someone who enjoys other people’s treasures or are searching for some of your own lost treasures check these sites and of course take the precautions necessary to keep your bags safe while traveling!

Get sturdy bags, make sure your name/contact info are ON your baggage, know your itinerary, avoid buying the SAME small black bags everyone has, try something bright, fun, and fashionable.

This last Sunday was Easter and I visited Nikki Beach Resort Turks and was amazed. They have an incredible Sunday Brunch with everything you can imagine, and it was all great! After we gorged for a few hours with unlimited mimosas we headed to the pool party. DJ on the pool deck with a margarita in the infinity pool was like heaven. We ended the evening with Beach bonfire and BBQ. Once again the food was terrific sitting around the bonfire laughing with some of our newfound friends. I know where I will be staying next time I come to Turks and Caicos.
