Breastfeeding Angelina Jolie Statue Goes on World Tour - 195

While Angelina Jolie wraps up a trip to Iraq, a life-sized statue of her breastfeeding the Jolie-Pitt twins prepares to go out on world tour. The statue (see photo here) is the latest work of pop-culture sculptor Daniel Edwards.

The statue, which depicts Angelina completely naked and employing the “football hold” method, is titled “Landmark For Breastfeeding” and will go on display September 11th. First stop is Norman, Oklahoma for World Breast-Feeding Week (near Brad Pitt’s birthplace). The statue will then travel to London for display in a Notting Hill art gallery.

Some people see it as a great way to promote breastfeeding, and others find it downright creepy. Either way, this statue is going to have some stamps in its passport.

Watch the artist describe his intent in this video as “a celebration of family and home.”
