Adventure Cycling’s 1st Annual Bicycle Travel Photo Contest - 234

Photo by Matt CopeDoes your idea of adventure travel involve a bike, beautiful scenery and your camera? If you’ve captured some special travel moments along your journeys now is your chance to enter the 1st Annual Bicycle Travel Photo Contest!

The Adventure Cycling Association aims to inspire people of all ages to travel by bicycle and to help cyclists explore the landscapes and history of America for fitness, fun and self-discovery. The group is looking for your best photos that represent the diversity and spirit of bike touring with a special interest in photos which show off the wide range of bike adventures out there. Think road and dirt, urban and rural, scenery, people and emotions.

The winner of the contest will have his or her photo printed in the March 2010 issue of the Adventure Cyclist magazine which reaches over 50,000 people worldwide. In addition, the photo will be featured on the Adventure Cycling Association’s website.

All entries are due by 11:59 pm PST on December 31, 2009. The Grand Prize winner along with up to 10 Honorable Mention winners will be announced on February 15, 2010.

Entering the contest is easy. Just upload your photos the Adventure Cycling’s Contests Flickr™ group. Include a caption stating the subject, the location where the image was taken, and the name of the photographer(s) and be sure to tag your photos with Adventure09. You can also submit photos via email with a short description. Check out the official rules for more information on email submission.

Start searching through those photo files and pick out some favorites. It could result in the travel photography exposure you’ve been looking for!
